Project Description

Organic Guru

Organic Guru was founded in 2017 by Marisol Miro Quesada during her pregnancy. At that time, Marisol found it very difficult to find great, simple ethically-made basics especially in neutral colours. Drawing upon her decade long experience in the fashion industry, she set about creating her own collection of babies’ fashion basics. Since that time the company has grown to an online shop offering a curated selection of the best premium organic fashion basics newborns and babies.

Our baby clothes are truly gentle on your little clients’ skin because of organic pima cotton’s extra-long fibers. The longer the fibers, the softer and more durable the clothing is. Our clothes are truly gorgeous, with contemporary, fun styles and designs.
Pima cotton: is a highly sought after extra premium cotton because of its extra-long fibers. The longer the cotton’s fibbers, the softer and more durable the products made from it will be. That’s is so prized and used in high fashion luxury garments.
Wild Cotton: Peruvian rainforest grown cotton naturally colored. Its existence dates to Pre-Columbian times.

From the beginning, Organic Guru has done things differently than most apparel companies. Every piece of Organic Guru clothing is made ethically from start to finish in Peru. Our unique range of certified organic and fair trade baby clothing are hand-picked by our gurus from the best eco-friendly labels. At Organic Guru we know how much you treasure the tiniest of your clients and how important it is to work together to create a sustainable future for them. This is why our products have GOTS, USDA-NOP and Organic EU certifications, and are ethical, eco-friendly, free of harsh chemicals or dyes, and most importantly magical.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards): The GOTS Certification process includes all the stages that involve the transformation of raw materials starting from production, packaging, labeling, export, import and distribution. This standard is the most demanding and updated on the latest sustainable textile trends in environmental practices and fair trade, and controls the use of eco-friendly inputs that do not jeopardize the workers and final consumer.
USDA-NOP (United States Department of Agriculture – National Organic Program): Develops implements and administrates the national production standards, handling and labelling of organic agricultural products. NOP standard also confirms the certifier bodies that are in charge of conducting audits of productions and operations that comply with this standard. Certifies that the organic cotton is preserving biodiversity, not using genetically modified seeds, synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Organic EU (European Union – Organic Production methods): Regulates the production, management and labelling of the organic products through the European Union.
